Marsh Pumps Piping

Manhours: TBD
Project Value: $900,000

Project Scope

UST demo’d 250’ of existing carbon steel and HDPE piping at 4 old pump locations. New energy efficient pumps were installed therefore 250’ of new cement lined carbon steel piping had to be fabricated and installed to tie in the new pumps to existing suction and discharge lines. UST also had to fabricate and install 80’ of new HDPE piping.

Project Challenges

Prefabricating piping to new pumps/pump foundations. Environmental (animals/reptiles that are native to the land), weather (needed to be complete before rains as that changed the levels of the marsh/flood risk), tight schedule due to permit expiring.
