UST demolished and replaced pump foundations at each of the passes at the Marsh for a total of three foundations replaced (2ea at 196 sq ft and 1ea at 940 sq ft). This allowed permanent, more energy efficient electrical pumps to be installed in place of rental diesel pumps. Each pass required UST to saw cut and remove old concrete foundations, excavate for new foundations, drive piles/sheet piles, build and install rebar cages, form, and pour new concrete foundations. Pass 1 required UST to dredge an area 10’ wide x 100’ long to reroute water and prevent it from spilling over onto pump location. Pass 2 required UST to perform additional excavation (10’ wide x 20’ long x 10’ deep) to remove old, corrugated metal drain piping from the Marsh that became clogged and no longer worked as intended. Additional scope done at the Marsh was 7 new foundations that were excavated, rebar cages installed & concrete poured for new power poles for power to be ran to power the new pumps. UST hand dug 64 pier holes, installed 64 rebar cages, formed, and poured concrete for 64 caisson supports for electrical conduit. UST excavated and backfilled 30'' deep rings around all three passes to allow electrical grounding rings to be installed at each pass.
